Program Description
This program introduces the concepts of cybersecurity analysis and best practices to identify common risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well as the techniques to mitigate them.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
Describe the programming for cybersecurity tasks
Identify frameworks and controls for security operations
Utilize security information and event management tools for cybersecurity
Detect and respond to incidents using an intrusion detection system

Completion Requirements*
A grade of 70% or higher is required to complete the program.

In-class instruction: 100% hours of instruction delivered in a classroom or other setting, where instructors share the same physical space as students.
Distance education: 100% hours of instruction, excluding work experience hours, if applicable, delivered remotely from a BC location.

Synchronous: Meaning students attend classes virtually in ‘real time’ with instructors and classmates.
